Synopsis
Six persons brought together by chance fill the seats of an exit row of a commercial flight from Laguardia to Milwaukee. One half of the seats are filled by the “The Wisconsinners,” Rose and her disturbed older son Ronnie who keep a debilitated Jessie comfortable. On the other side of the aisle sits entitled Marshall claiming to be the Air Marshal, next to angry-conservative (a la Ann Coulter) in the middle, and 3rd generation American, Abad, in the window seat. As the tensions build, the play explores each persons motives for flying and their mode of transportation to get there. At the climax of the action, the play launches backward to early that morning where we find Jessie quite capable of movement as she heads to work in the wee hours of the morning. There she meets Rose and Ronnie. In efforts to win God back into their lives they drug Jessie and plan to return to Wisconsin with their new family member. The play returns to the action previously paused, as the passengers fight for survival
